The new equipment will help Pippa manage volunteer coordination.
Grace Cares, the Lichfield based circular economy not-for-profit, has received a brand new HP ProBook laptop, generously donated by local IT support company Techcare, to support the charity’s community and volunteer work.
The laptop has been gifted to Pippa, Grace Cares’ Community and Volunteer Lead, affectionately known within the team as their ‘unicorn’ for the rare mix of energy, care and dedication she brings to the role. The new equipment will help Pippa manage volunteer coordination, community outreach and the day to day running of programmes that support unpaid caregivers and older people across the region.

Pippa pours everything into this team and into the people we support, so having reliable equipment behind her makes a real difference. Techcare didn’t just donate a laptop, they invested in the work we do every single day.
Grace Cares rescues, refurbishes and redistributes pre-loved care equipment, selling it on at half the original RRP or less, with proceeds funding free community programmes including the Care Club, tea parties, hardship grants and the Caring for Tomorrow webinar series. Grace Cares has already helped over 5,000 people and is working towards a goal of reaching 10,000 by the end of 2028.
Techcare’s donation is an example of the kind of corporate support that helps smaller, purpose driven organisations like Grace Cares keep doing their work well. For a team built largely on volunteers and a handful of dedicated staff, the right tools matter, and this gesture has not gone unnoticed.
“Everyone relies on health and social care at some point in their life, whether for themselves or someone close to them, which is one of the reasons supporting Grace Cares was important to us,” said Tim Hepworth, Head of Operations at Techcare.
