The evening demonstrated just how much can be achieved when people come together.
A decade of community, creativity and making a difference was celebrated in style as Nurture CIC marked its 10th anniversary with a special event at the Garrick Studio earlier this month.
The event, titled StarGaze, brought together people connected with the non-profit inclusive community organisation over the past 10 years to celebrate its journey and the many helpers who have played a part in its success.
A key moment of the evening came when Nurture CIC founder Charlotte Shutt took to the stage to reflect on the organisation’s journey. Charlotte was joined by some of the people who have supported and helped her along the way, sharing their own experiences and memories of Nurture’s first decade.
Their stories provided a fascinating insight into how an idea has grown into an organisation that has had a real impact on people and the local community.
The evening also had a strong creative element, with animation created by Kirk Allen helping to bring the story and celebration to life on the big screen.
And there was a particularly energetic close to the celebrations, with children from the Happy Human Collective taking to the stage for a dance performance, bringing a wonderful sense of youthful energy to the anniversary celebrations.
The StarGaze event was not simply a look back at 10 years of Nurture CIC; it was also a celebration of the people behind the organisation and the community that has supported it. From Charlotte’s original vision to the contributions of those who have helped along the way, the evening demonstrated just how much can be achieved when creativity, community and people come together.
As Nurture CIC looks towards its next 10 years, the anniversary celebration at the Garrick Studio provided a fitting opportunity to pause, reflect and celebrate. We look forward to whatever comes next!
