Tune into the SNOOZY Breakfast Show this Friday!
Janis, Community Engagement Officer at Home Instead Lichfield, will be on Lichfield Radio this Friday (25 September) to talk about the brand new scheme ‘Find My Loved One‘, founded by Yvonne James from Lichfield District Council, who lost her mum to Alzheimer’s.
She will guest on the SNOOZY Breakfast Show, which begins at 8am.
The Lichfield District Find My Loved One scheme is a simple, voluntary initiative designed to help people living with dementia, Alzheimer’s and similar conditions stay safe when out in the community.
Participants are provided with a wristband, lanyard or keyring fob containing a small chip. When tapped with a smartphone, this safely displays essential information including the person’s name or preferred name, a short message (such as, “I have dementia” or “I may become confused”) and an emergency contact number.
The scheme is free and open to Lichfield District Residents living with dementia, Alzheimer’s or related conditions, as well as individuals who may be at risk of becoming confused or lost, and their families, carers and support networks.
