Our Programme Director, Ruth ‘Rockie’ Redgate, recorded her last Snoozy Breakfast Show on Lichfield Radio this morning before heading to the Lake District for the weekend, where on Saturday (20 June) she will take on a 5.25-mile swim to raise money for a local cause!
Ruth has entered into this year’s Chillswim Coniston End to End Swim – starting at the southern end of Coniston Water and finishing at the very northern tip – as part of her efforts to raise funds for We Love Lichfield, Lichfield Radio’s chosen community fund.
She said that as one of the station’s directors, “there really was only one choice for my charity for this event”.
We Love Lichfield is one of The Community Foundation for Staffordshires local community funds, that provides small grants to a wide range of projects based in the Lichfield District.
