Pioneering dance company BalletBoyz has announced a major UK tour to celebrate 25 years on stage and screen, with their acclaimed production Still Pointless set to visit Lichfield Garrick Theatre on 9th June 2026.
The tour marks a quarter of a century since founders Michael Nunn and William Trevitt made their critically acclaimed debut performance Pointless at the Roundhouse. Now, Still Pointless takes audiences on a retrospective journey through 25 years of bold, innovative and genre-defying dance.
The production will open at Sadler’s Wells in London from 12th–16th May 2026, before touring extensively across the UK, visiting 19 regional venues including Nottingham Playhouse, Birmingham Rep, Leicester Curve and Cheltenham Everyman, alongside its Lichfield date.
A celebration of BalletBoyz’ greatest moments
Presented as a live dance documentary, Still Pointless fuses live performance with film, showcasing some of BalletBoyz’ most celebrated works alongside a brand-new world premiere.
The evening opens with an excerpt from Russell Maliphant’s Critical Mass, originally performed as part of the company’s debut show in 2001. The programme also features revivals of works by leading choreographers including Maxine Doyle, Liam Scarlett, Christopher Wheeldon, Xie Xin and Javier de Frutos, as well as a new commission by emerging choreographer Seirian Griffiths.
Music throughout the production comes from acclaimed composers including Max Richter, Keaton Henson and Cassie Kinoshi, performed by a company of 10 world-class dancers, combining returning and new BalletBoyz performers.
