90s indie favourites Space are set to stop off at the Station in Cannock as part of their 2026 UK tour.

Hailing from Liverpool, Space formed in 1992 and signed to Gut Records in 1995. The band rose to prominence with a string of hit singles that helped define the era, including Female of the Species, Me and You Versus the World, Neighbourhood and Avenging Angels. They also released The Ballad of Tom Jones, a duet with Cerys Matthews of Catatonia.
The show promises a chance for fans to revisit some of the band’s best-loved tracks, alongside material that reflects their distinctive sound and enduring appeal.
Support on the night comes from Staffordshire five-piece Gorstey Lea, a genre-blurring band known for their emotionally charged performances and wide-ranging influences. Drawing inspiration from the punk and ska of The Clash and The Specials, through to the psychedelia of Echo & The Bunnymen and the poetic pop of Richard Hawley and Cherry Ghost, the band blend nostalgic elements with a modern edge.
Praised by BBC 6 Music’s Chris Hawkins as “a tonic for the times”, their music offers a dynamic, power-pop-infused sound that feels both immediate and timeless.
