Nobbs & Milligan’s Classical Music Adventures returns with Movement II, a decidedly unstuffy journey through the extraordinary world of classical music. Simon Nobbs brings a lifetime’s knowledge and passion, while Scott Milligan asks the questions the rest of us might be thinking. Together they explore everything from Handel, Elgar and Fauré to Bernstein, Tavener and contemporary musicians, discovering the stories, personalities and occasional oddities behind the music. Expect beautiful recordings, surprising facts, terrible jokes, enthusiastic diversions and absolutely no requirement to know your adagios from your arpeggios. Movement II also plans to venture out to meet the musicians keeping classical music alive today.
