Lichfield City Council is preparing to welcome guests from Lichfield’s twin towns — Limburg an der Lahn in Germany and Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon in France and local residents are invited to help provide a warm Lichfield welcome.
Opening your home for just a few nights is a wonderful way to:
- Meet new people
- Share stories and culture
- Build lasting international friendships
- Play a special role in strengthening Lichfield’s European connections
What does hosting involve?
- A clean, comfortable spare room in a home you own
- Bed and breakfast provision
- No expectation to provide other meals (unless you would like to)
- No language skills required — many guests speak English
What will visitors be doing?
Guests will enjoy a full programme of civic, cultural and community events organised by Lichfield City Council.
A rewarding volunteer opportunity
Hosting is voluntary and unpaid, but offers a unique and rewarding way to contribute to the local community and represent Lichfield on an international stage.
