The event had particular significance for carer Fiona.

Stowe Mount Care Home brought residents, staff and visitors together for a special cakes and bingo morning in support of Breast Cancer Now, inspired by the personal journey of one of its much-loved carers.
The fundraising event, hosted by Rachel, on bingo calling, and Ben, who made sure everyone got a hot drink and a cake, combined friendly competition and sweet treats with an opportunity to support a cause close to the hearts of everyone at the home.
With October marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the event had particular significance for carer Fiona, who has faced an incredibly challenging 18 months following diagnoses of both breast and skin cancer.

Despite the challenges, Fiona has shown remarkable determination, raising more than £700 for breast cancer research by walking 100 miles.
Her story inspired Stowe Mount to show its support and raise funds for Breast Cancer Now, a charity dedicated to funding research and providing support and information to people affected by breast cancer.
The morning demonstrated the strong community spirit at the care home, bringing people together to support a worthy cause while showing Fiona how much she is valued by those around her.
The event was a reminder that small acts of kindness and collective effort can make a difference, helping to raise awareness and support the work of a charity dedicated to breast cancer prevention.
