READ ALL ABOUT IT: The Lichfield Echo Is Now Officially in Print!

Your new, FREE local paper dedicated only to positive news is here!

Not even four months after the successful launch of Lichfield Radio, we are delighted to introduce to you the Lichfield Echo – your new, FREE local paper dedicated only to positive news!

And there’s plenty of it!

This inaugural, 48-page, 5,000-copy issue is crammed full of positivity – about Lichfeldian Michael Mullarkey’s 60 years in the menswear industry, celebrity chef Rosemary Shrager’s return to this year’s Lichfield Food and Drink Festival, inspiring fundraising efforts by auctioneer Richard Winterton, as well as by Staffordshire mum Megan Keogh, and a range of local community organisations … and so, so much more.

The response to the radio station has already proved that there is a local appetite for the championing of all the good going on around us. Print seems like the natural next step – the most tried-and-tested method for sharing successes, starting conversations and, in years to come, rediscovering memories.

Many people need thanking for putting this paper together. As well as all the generous sponsors and advertisers, and, of course, those doing positive things for their community, whose stories we have filled these pages with – there is also designers James Evans and Geoff Taylor, operations managers Vicki Maye, Claire Allsop and Ruth Redgate, advertising organiser Sam Evans-Brookes, and, crucially, Managing Director Scott Milligan.

Scott says “everybody is excited this morning”, and that he can’t wait to get out with the issues and spread the positive word!

Now, it’s YOUR turn to get involved – by picking up a copy for yourself, and for anyone else you think may be interested, perhaps even tagging us in a photo of yourself with the issue, and sending any comments about the paper, and suggestions for Issue Two!

The paper is being distributed in and around Lichfield as I type. You’ll find it at The Auction Café, the office of Andrew Downing Booth Estate Agents, Michael’s Menswear, the Arthur Price factory shop, The George Hotel, Paddy & Scott’s coffee shop, and in so many more locations. If you’re a local business and would like to put some papers on display, then please do get in touch.

We can’t wait to hear all of your reactions!

  1. I would like to receive a regular copy . Is there a possibility of paying for postage as I don’t expect you have an outlet in Uttoxeter stocking copies .

  2. What a wonderful local newspaper. It is full of joy. Thank you. We need more of this in the world xx
