Celebrating 12 Years of Sally Wagstaff Aesthetics

This January marks 12 years in business for Sally Wagstaff Aesthetics, a milestone that reflects not only the growth of the clinic, but the values, relationships and trust built with clients over more than a decade.

What began as a small, focused clinic has evolved into a nurse-led practice centred on safety, evidence-based treatments and long-term skin health. When Sally first started the business under the name Xodos Aesthetics, laser hair removal was at the heart of the clinic. At the time, it felt like a huge leap — learning new technology, investing in the best equipment available, and building a client base from scratch with no formal business experience.

Like many small businesses, those early days were driven by determination, learning on the job and a great deal of faith. Over the years, the clinic has moved through six different locations and expanded from offering a single core treatment to more than 15 services.

As Sally’s clinical experience deepened, so did the scope of the clinic. Aesthetics, she believes, should always sit firmly within healthcare — rooted in anatomy, ethics and patient safety. As an Independent Nurse Prescriber, ongoing training has never been optional. Continuous professional development and working with respected medical trainers and internationally recognised brands has remained a priority, ensuring clients receive the highest standard of care.

A key philosophy that has shaped the clinic is the belief that good aesthetic outcomes are not achieved through one-off treatments. Instead, they come from personalised planning, honest conversations and a focus on long-term skin health. With so much conflicting advice available online, particularly on social media, treatments at the clinic are chosen based on research, quality and clinical results and because they are treatments Sally genuinely believes in.

In recent years, skin health has become a central focus of the clinic’s work. Treatments such as microneedling, chemical peels, LED therapy and advanced skin consultations now form a core part of the offering. More recently, the introduction of mole and lesion analysis has marked an important step, allowing skin concerns to be identified and escalated safely without clients needing to navigate long waits for GP appointments.

The clinic has also grown as a team. The addition of Torie has increased availability for skin treatments while maintaining the calm, supportive environment clients value. Looking ahead to 2026, the clinic will continue to focus on skin health and regenerative treatments, including emerging therapies such as exosomes, polynucleotides and injectable biostimulators like Sculptra and Juvelook, reflecting a shift away from quick fixes and towards long-term skin resilience.

Running the clinic has taken place alongside real life. Over the past 12 years, Sally has balanced parenting, her children growing up, significant health challenges, including hip replacement surgery, menopause, and the day-to-day realities of running a small business. Through it all, the clinic has remained a source of pride, growing and evolving alongside her.

One of the achievements Sally is most proud of is the clinic’s membership model, which has created a supportive framework for consistent skin care. What began as a way to make treatments more accessible has become a valued part of the clinic, allowing continuity of care and visible improvements in skin health over time.

As the clinic enters its 13th year, the current space finally feels like home — a calm, professional environment that supports privacy, comfort and high clinical standards. The focus moving forward is not on becoming bigger, but on continuing to improve thoughtfully and sustainably.

Twelve years in business represents thousands of consultations, treatments, conversations and moments of trust. To every client who has walked through the door, whether once or for many years, Sally says thank you.

Looking ahead, the clinic remains committed to continued learning, regenerative medicine and skin health done properly — staying true to what it has always aimed to be: safe, honest, nurse-led and human.
