A major refurbishment of the swimming pool changing rooms at Burntwood Leisure Centre is set to begin as part of ongoing investment in leisure facilities across the district.
The project, which will be delivered by contractor Ascot from 30th March, will see the existing changing rooms upgraded over a 12 to 13-week period to create a brighter and more accessible environment for members, schools and community users.
The works are designed to improve comfort, privacy and the overall experience for those using the centre. Improvements will include:
- Replacement of changing cubicles
- Installation of new lockers
- New doors and partitions where required
- Full redecoration of the wet-side changing areas
- Upgrades to fixtures and finishes
The refurbishment forms part of Lichfield District Council’s ongoing commitment to supporting residents to live active and healthy lifestyles through high-quality leisure facilities.
Importantly, the swimming pool will remain open throughout the works, allowing swimming lessons and public sessions to continue with limited disruption. Temporary, smaller changing facilities will be available while the refurbishment is underway.
