Girlguiding Lichfield Division celebrated World Thinking Day by taking 450 members and volunteers on a special visit to Cadbury World on Sunday 22nd February.
World Thinking Day is an annual celebration marking the birthdays of Lord Baden-Powell and Lady Baden-Powell, founders of the guiding and scouting movements. It is a day for members to reflect on and celebrate the global guiding community and the friendships it creates.
Girlguiding Lichfield Division has more than 500 members across Lichfield and surrounding areas, providing girls with opportunities to build confidence, develop new skills, and form lasting friendships.
Girlguiding offers a wide range of experiences that have a positive impact on members, helping them grow and explore new opportunities in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Due to strong local demand, there are currently girls on waiting lists who would love to join. To help create more spaces and reach more young people, the division is encouraging more volunteers to come forward.
Volunteering with Girlguiding offers a rewarding way to give back to the community, meet new people, and support the development of local girls.
