It is 161 years since the first Winterton’s office opened in Breadmarket Street, Lichfield, back in 1864. Today, the company’s head office is based at The Lichfield Auction Centre, Fradley Park, with The Tamworth Auction Rooms and The Auction Café in Lichfield City Centre.
A family business across seven generations, Richard Winterton Auctioneers has become a household name in Staffordshire and beyond. The firm handles everything from fine art, antiques and jewellery to house clearances, probate valuations and specialist sales which attract bidders locally, nationally and internationally.
Headed by Richard and Janet Winterton, with family members also involved in the day-to-day running of the business, the company has grown from strength to strength.
