Palace Singers Bring Festive Cheer to Lichfield This Christmas.

The Palace Singers are gearing up for a busy festive season with special carol singing performances across Lichfield and beyond, inviting the community to join them in celebrating the Christmas spirit.

The choir, which takes its name from the Bishop’s Palace next to Lichfield Cathedral where it was founded 18 years ago, will be performing at the following venues:

  • Saturday 6th December at the National Memorial Arboretum between midday and 2pm
  • Monday 15th December at the Cathedral Light Show through the evening

Under the baton of Musical Director Liam Condon, a renowned organist at both Lichfield and Coventry Cathedrals who has featured on the BBC and various CDs, the choir has been rehearsing hard to deliver memorable performances. Despite his demanding standards, Liam brings a friendly approach that keeps the group motivated and growing.

The Palace Singers pride themselves on being welcoming and friendly, with membership currently on the rise. Anyone interested in trying out the choir can find details on their website, with the promise of guaranteed fun alongside the music making.

After the Christmas season wraps up, the choir will turn their attention to their next concert themed around “Love”, scheduled for the evening of Saturday 7th February at St Chad’s Church in Lichfield.
