Youngsters have until midnight on Friday 16 October to submit their entries.
Redrow Midlands, which is currently building at Curborough Lakes on Watery Lane, is calling on the city’s youngsters to design a house suitable for 2126 – some 100 years from now.
Whether it’s wallpaper that changes depending on your mood, a fridge that restocks automatically or a bathroom that cleans itself, the design must suit the needs of ultra-modern family life while being energy efficient and built sustainably.
The role is open to four-to-16-year-olds across the region, who will need to submit their ‘house of the future’ design to BarrattRedrow@wpragency.co.uk.
The winning archi-tot will not only receive a £100 prize but also see their design placed into a time capsule and buried in the ground at Curborough Lakes, ready to be unearthed in a century’s time.
Imaginative youngsters across the region have until midnight on Friday 16 October to submit their entries. The winner will join other successful archi-tots chosen by Redrow regions across the UK, with one overall champion to be announced later this year.
