James Price described the double achievement as “a major step for our business”.

Family-owned, 124-year-old British cutlery manufacturer Arthur Price is celebrating having achieved both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification. The dual certification recognises the company’s commitment to consistent product quality and responsible manufacturing as it continues to serve customers and supply retail and hospitality customers in the UK and abroad.
The internationally recognised certifications confirm that the company operates to globally recognised standards for quality and environmental management, following an extensive independent audit of its systems, processes and manufacturing operations.
The dual award reflects growing expectations from customers, retailers, distributors and hospitality operators for manufacturers and suppliers to demonstrate robust operational and sustainability standards.

James Price, CEO, described the double achievement as “a major step for our business”, adding that it “reflects the hard work our team has put into strengthening our systems across the company”.
For our customers, retailers and hospitality partners, it provides independent assurance that our products are manufactured to consistently high standards while being produced with environmental responsibility in mind.
Quality and sustainability expectations are quite rightly rising. Achieving ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 ensures our processes meet internationally recognised standards and gives our customers confidence in the consistency and accountability behind our manufacturing.
ISO 9001 certification recognises organisations with effective quality management systems that ensure consistency, traceability and continuous improvement across operations. ISO 14001 focuses on environmental management, covering areas such as waste reduction, resource efficiency and environmental impact monitoring.
The certification process included a full review of supplier management, manufacturing controls, operational procedures and environmental practices.
Simon Price, Chairman, said: “These certifications validate the processes and culture we have built for decades.
As a manufacturer it is essential that we demonstrate the highest standards of quality, accountability and environmental management. These certifications strengthen our position in the market and support our long-term strategy of responsible, sustainable manufacturing.
None of this would have been possible without our amazing team and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of them, not just for their hard work in helping us achieve this recognition, but for their continued contribution to upholding our very precious Arthur Price values.

Founded in 1902 in Birmingham, Arthur Price is 100 per cent family-owned, with UK manufacturing sites in Sheffield and Birmingham. It produces a wide range of cutlery and tableware direct to customers and to retailers, foodservice distributors and hospitality groups across the globe including the UK, Europe, the Middle and Far East.
The certification is just one step as it plans to build on the certification by continuing to invest in process efficiency, environmental performance and product development.
