A specialist in collectable whisky, wine and port is offering a double measure of free valuations in Lichfield on the last two Wednesdays of this month.
Robert French will be at The Auction Café in Market Street, Lichfield, between 9.30am-12.30pm today, 23 September, and at The Lichfield Auction Centre, Wood End Lane, Fradley Park, between 10am-2pm on Wednesday 30 September.
The free, drop-in events have been described as “the perfect opportunity” to consign individual bottles and whole collections for Richard Winterton Auctioneers’ big pre-Christmas wine and whisky sale on Monday 7 December.
“Whisky, wine and port are popular luxury investments with a strong market at auction,” said Rob.
For example, Scottish single malts squirrelled away in the 1970s could be worth four figures today, with bottles from low-yielding batches and distilleries no longer producing – so-called ‘silent’ or ‘lost’ distilleries – perennial favourites of connoisseurs and collectors.
Likewise, fine wine and port can also do extremely well at auction so it’s important to get a proper valuation.
These two valuation events are the perfect opportunity to consign anything from individual bottles to whole collections for our big pre-Christmas whisky and wine auction in December.
