Several BNI Un1que members now have their own shows on Lichfield Radio.

When Lichfield Radio Director Scott Milligan joined BNI Un1que in 2025, he wasn’t just looking to grow his business – he ended up helping grow a whole new voice for the city. That voice belongs to Lichfield Radio, and the connections behind it trace straight back to the weekly meetings of this local networking group.
Through BNI Un1que, Scott met local businesses who would go on to become founding sponsors of the station, including Andrew Downing Booth Estate Agents, White Lodge, and inLIFE Design. Their support and belief helped get Lichfield Radio off the ground and keep it broadcasting to the local community.
But the connection doesn’t stop at sponsorship. Several BNI Un1que members now have their own shows on the station – including Matt Black, David Whitehouse and myself! – bringing personalities and passions to the airwaves each week.
Others have appeared as guests, sharing their stories and expertise with listeners across Lichfield and the surrounding district – among them, representatives of the chapter’s chosen charity, the Stan Bowley Trust, who regularly appear on air to speak about the vital work they do for CyberKnife cancer treatment.
It’s a reminder that networking is about far more than swapping business cards. At its heart, BNI Un1que is about people showing up for each other – sharing opportunities, offering encouragement and building something bigger than any one business could alone.

Lichfield Radio is a perfect example: a project born from genuine relationships, mutual trust and a shared belief in supporting the local community.
As Lichfield Radio continues to grow, so does the web of local connections behind it – proof that when businesspeople come together with positivity and purpose, the results can be heard, quite literally, throughout the entire district and beyond.
